The 2008 Turkey Hunt

For the past couple years Brian and I have gone turkey hunting in St. George with Brian's brother Steve. This year we had plenty of tags to fill - Me, Brian, Jeff, Lynn, Nan, Jonathon, Zac, Courtney and Nicole... And I think that was all. The first weekend, we were all there and had a blast. We saw a lot of turkeys and did a lot of 4-wheeling. Ryan got to shoot his dad's shot gun too. We also got to go to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet and Zions National Park and the Mountain Meadow Massacre Memorial Site. No one got a turkey that weekend though. The next weekend, both Brian and Jeff shot a turkey and they were delicious. The third weekend Brian and Lynn went hunting with Nicole and Courtney, but no one had any luck.

I DID IT!

I did it! I accomplished my first ever bike ride. My friend Christa and I rode 36 miles in 3 hours (on Mountain Bikes no less) last Saturday. I felt very accomplished and proud of myself. I am still sore and tired two days later, but it was all worth it. My next ride is June 7th and I am hoping to ride the 45 mile route. Wish me luck in my training...

Spring Time!

Here are some pictures from the last few months...
It's time for Spring again. Time for renewal. Time for flowers and rain and warmth. I am definitley ready.

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. Life is still good and I am as blessed as ever. Brian and I are stil working hard and going to school. Brian is trying to make some decisions about pharmacy school right now. We pray that all goes as it should. Our lives are filled with new friends and happiness. There is truly nothing to complain about.

Brian and I have taken in some new hobbies. We rock-climbed for our first time since high school and LOVED it. We are excited for the day we find time to go again. We've also decided to buy some bikes. We have't purchased any yet, but I am really excited about it.

My work is starting a bike team and I fully plan to join.

It's Christmas Time

I love this time of year. I cannot get enough of it. The music, the lights, hanging out with family, food... It's amazing. I cannot be grateful enough for the things I have in my life. I have a steady job. I do the things I love. I am able to go to school. I have a wonderful, dedicated husband. I have a roof over my head. And I love my family with more emotion than I could ever explain. I wish a very merry Chrsitmas to all of you. I hope for you all that you dream of. Much love...

Happy Halloween

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. I sure did! Brian and I cooked the best lasagna in the whole wide world and garlic bread. We ate dinner with my dad, Cody and Nikki. It was SO good. Then we watched "Invisible." I liked it -- Yep I did. We had tons of trick-or-treaters. We went through about 100 candy bars. I had my neice Taylor with me all night and then my two neices Allee and Tyler stopped by a little later. They are all so precious. I am the luckiest aunt in the whole wide world.

A New Addition

I have a new addition to my family. I cannot be more excited about this. My little brother is now the proud father of a baby girl named Taylor. She was born on October 28th and is loved more than ever.

About Me

My photo
We have been married for over 8 years. In those 8 years we've lived in Taylorsville, St. George and Cedar City and now have our first home in West Valley City. Brian is currently a pharmacy technician and attending school to become a pharmacist. He loves the outdoors: hunting, camping and 4-wheeling. He's also taken up some interest in backpacking. Stephanie is working as an independant contractor doing photography, data entry, graphic design, cleaning, finances, etc. She is also an admin for Zions Securities. She is still teaching at Clayton Productions, has her own photography business (Wood Photography) and a little craft business (Woodn't You Know). (website http://wood-photo.blogspot.com or www.myspace.com/woodphotography). Stephanie is also attending WGU and hopes to have her degree finished by the end this year. Stephanie loves scrapbooking, movies, poetry, photography, bike riding, dancing and the outdoors. We're loving life and living it to the fullest we can!
