What we've been up to!

It's been an amazing month! We put up our Christmas tree sometime in November and have been enjoying it almost every night since.

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving and had a blast. We shot shotguns and rode horses and went shopping. I just love hanging out with family.

I went to the Festival of trees. I saw a Betty Boop tree that reminded me of my Grandma. I miss her everyday, but a little more this time of year. I also saw a tree for little Lulu, whom I adore and haven't even met yet.

I got the COOLEST sweater from Courtney and I love it - makes me happy!

We made gingerbread houses.

I had THE TIME OF MY LIFE at my work party. I got to get all dressed up and danced the night away - SO much fun!

We went to the Low Doe Country Christmas Show. We got to see Bombshell, Santa, Bucky Covington and Phil Vasser. Great Show!

We celebrated Cody's 22nd birthday.

We went to dinner at Trio for our staff party - in our Christmas sweaters. Very fun night! Love these girls...

I've been watching my awesome dancers perform. They are darling and do so well.

We gave our friends their gift and they gave us ours. We are so lucky to know Weston and Christa - amazing friends and amazing people :)

I hope the holidays are bringing everyone joy and LOTS of laughter. This is such an amazing time of year. I am in awe at the things I see, the people I know and the love I feel...

They Walk Among Us.. .. ..

It's that magical time of year again when the Darwin Awards are bestowed, honoring the least evolved among us.

These aren't all of them - but a few of my favorites!

1. After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies. The deception wasn't discovered for 3 days.

2. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided that he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store window was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape.

3. As a female shopper exited a New York convenience store, a man grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately, and the woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher. Within minutes, the police apprehended the snatcher. They put him in the car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, "Yes, officer, that's her. That's the lady I stole the purse from."

and

4. When a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for. Police arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted to trying to steal gasoline, but he plugged his siphon hose into the motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever had.

Christmas Lights

Brian put up our Christmas lights on November 11th. They look awesome! Happy Holidays Everyone!

Liver For Lulu

My best childhood friend, Lizzy and her husband James have a sweet little daughter who is in need of a liver transplant. There was a fundraiser held on November 10th in London's honor. We ate a wonderful dinner, had a silent auction, watched the sweetest video, listened to Lizzy and James tell their story and listened to the wonderful Jon Schmidt play the piano for us.
This family is beautiful, amazing and strong. I think about them and pray for them often.
Love you Lizzy!

Taylor's 2nd Birthday

I Have Not Forgotten!

The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do

Something to pay tribute

To our fallen comrades so since we are part of the only

Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could

Think of doing that is by taking a picture of

Baker Company saying the way we feel.

'WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN'

And are proud to serve our country.

The attached photo

is from one of the last U.S. Marine companies in Iraq

to let the

folks back home know that they remember why they're there and

that they remember those who've been lost.....
