Powell

So I am a little behind on my postings... I wanted to write about our FABULOUS Powell trip we had in June. Our friend Ben bought into a house boat and decided that he should go down and take a look at it. At first, it was going to be a boy trip, but the girls ended up going too. It was me, Brian, Jeff, Brooklyn, Pepper, Jake and family and Ben, Cassie and family. We left around 10:30-11 at night and drove throughout the night to get there, so the kids would sleep. We arrived around 6AM. The boys decided to go to the boat first. The looks on their faces told us everything when they came walking back to the cars. The boat was a little dirty and to be quite frank ----- INFESTED with spiders. So some of us freaked out a little and wanted to go home, but we all decided to tough it out. The boys cleaned up the boat as much as they could before the girls arrived. They deserve a lot of credit for trying to make it liveable. We had a couple other mishaps: We placed a gas can by the generator and it burnt a whole and gas spilled everywhere, so Yes, we could have died. :) Also when we went to move the boat out of the buoy field the engines stopped working. So we towed it with the ski boat and bumped into another house boat resulting in a huge dent in Ben's houseboat. But to be honest, all in all, Brian and I had a great time. We got to play on the waverunners and surf. And I had a BLAST with the kids. I love time with my neice, Brooklyn - she's such an amazing little girl. So Thanks for the invite Ben - we had a blast!
